PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Revista 180selects articles by peer review (double blind). Once the original manuscripts are received, these will be submitted to a preliminary review by the Editorial Committee and Editor, who will determinate the thematic belonging and compliance with the quality standards of the Journal. The result of this first review will be communicated to the authors by email and it is unappealable. 

Those articles that comply with the thematic and formal requirements will be submitted to a double and blind peer review. Taking into account the Journal’s Article Review Form, the referees will determinate if the article is i.) Accepted without corrections, ii.) Accepted with minor corrections, iii.) Accepted with major corrections, or iv.) Rejected, unpublishable. In case of discrepancy between referees, the article will be send to a third reviewer or will be untied by the Editor or a Editorial Board Committee member. The usual established window for the blind peer review process is four weeks. The peer review result will be informed to authors by email and it is unappealable.

In case the article is accepted with observations, the author will have to send the revised version to a new evaluation process in the established time. The revised article will be sent to the same peer reviewers who will verify the incorporation of the comments, and they will recommend or not its publication. 

Once approved, the articles will be submitted to proofreading to ensure the compliance with the formal requirements of the journal. Revista 180 reserves the right to edit the texts.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY

Revista_180 is published twice a year in August and December in digital format.
