Abstract
The dossier The Power of Words presents a reproduction of the early work of the same name by Alfredo Jaar and includes an excerpt from a forthcoming book by the philosopher Jacques Rancière on that work. The dossier also features an introductory text by Alejandra Celedón and Serena Dambrosio, which situates Jaar’s work within a contemporary discussion and highlights the tension between words and images as both operative and political instruments. Available exclusively in the print edition of the journal.
